Jackie King

Jackie King

Faith Formation Coordinator, Gr 1-5

Jackie has been a member of OLIH since 1994 when her parents (John and Karen Armstrong) moved here from Beloit, WI. Jackie grew up in this parish and was involved in multiple aspects of the church. Most recently, she has been the Vacation Bible School director since 2015. She is a 2002 graduate of Ankeny High School, and a 2006 graduate of Iowa State University. Jackie obtained a degree in Anthropology with a Biology minor, and has spent the last 13 years as a Forensic Autopsy Technician for the State of Iowa.

Jackie has been married to Ryan since 2007 and they have 3 children: Callie, Connor, and Colton. All 3 went to OLLL preschool for 2 years, and have helped mom with VBS planning, so they are VERY comfortable in this building. You will probably see them running around the church after Mass like feral children (we are working on that). Ryan went through RCIA in 2013 and is a member of the Knights of Columbus, and is a veteran chaperone for youth ministry trips.

In her spare time Jackie enjoys playing video games (especially Zelda), painting Dungeons and Dragons minis, taking her kids to various parks, watching shows with Ryan, and playing escape games on her phone.

Jackie is the coordinator for elementary faith formation (grades 1-5).  You can reach her at [email protected]
