Eucharistic Minister Training

Have you considered becoming a Eucharisti minister?  If so, we are offering EM training session will be held on Thursday, September 4 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the church.  With the size of our parish, it takes at least 16 people to distribute communion at each weekend Mass. Any practicing, confirmed Catholic is eligible to be a Eucharistic Minister. After you complete the training we will include you in the rotation for October, November and December.

This is an opportunity to be active in this outstanding parish community; please open your hearts and ears to God’s calling and consider being a part of this ministry. If you have any questions please call/text Rhonda Snyder at 515-205-2794.

Girls’ Night Out

Training for Altar Servers

The session is intended for new servers (4th Grade, or older), but current servers are welcome to attend as well.

The 4th Annual Bike/Walk/Run from OLIH to St. Luke’s will take place on Sunday, September 7 at 4:00 pm (note the later start time).  We are currently looking for sponsors to help offset the cost of the t-shirts, bananas, water, etc. so registration fees can go directly to our fundraising efforts. A Walk of Faith

A Quick Journey Through the Bible is an eight-week program that offers an opportunity to learn the basic framework of the bible and how to read and understand the Word of God.  It is a chronological walk through the Bible developed by Jeff Cavins, author of the longer, 24 week series, Bible Timeline.  This “quick” journey will be held on eight Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm beginning Tuesday, October 7.  In order to have enough materials, please call the parish office, 964-3038, by September 15 and let us know you plan to attend.
