On October 22nd, we will be having a wine and cheese reception for those who have joined our parish in the last six months. The reception will begin at 6:00 pm on next Saturday, October 22 in classrooms 1 & 2. Staff will be present as well as representatives of the various ministries and organizations in the parish. This is a large parish and one of the ways to make it feel more like home is to meet people and join in the ministries and services we have. We hope that many of you who have joined us in the last six months will come.

Ankeny Lutheran and Catholic communities have a series of gatherings scheduled that will bring us together to share a meal, pray, serve and discuss the “progress we have made.”
There will be plenty of time for conversation. It is our hope that many from our communities, as well as those of other faith traditions interested in seeing the results of this ecumenical work, will join us in deepening our respect and appreciation for our common and united commitment to the work of Christ.

In 2015 the Parish Pastoral Council conducted a survey and coordinated listening sessions to solicit parishioner feedback regarding various aspects of our parish life. With the results of the survey and listening sessions in hand, the Parish Pastoral Council met with staff and representatives of the various areas of ministry to review our parish input. Some areas that have been addressed from your feedback include additional adult faith formation opportunities. Service and education programs have been enhanced to include areas such as mental health awareness. More on the OLIH Survey Summary.
