Halloween Party

The Knights of Columbus will host their annual Halloween Party for youngsters in pre-school through the 5th Grade on Sunday, October 26 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm in the OLIH banquet and multi-purpose rooms. We are asking for a donation of one bag of candy per family and a canned good for the Iowa food bank. All children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume. There will be games, food, and fun.

All are invited to the OLIH Parish mission November 9-11. Father Ron Hoye will lead our parish mission with a focus on the call to evangelization - preaching and teaching the kingdom of God in our every day lives.  Something for every age group.  Learn more…

Called And Gifted Workshop

How is the Holy Spirit calling you to share your gifts in your family, parish, community and our world?  St. Joseph Educational Center and Ss John & Paul Parish are co-sponsoring the Called & Gifted Workshop on Saturday, October 18, from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. There is no cost for the workshop; a free will offering will be taken. Called & Gifted is a one-day, interactive workshop that includes Church teaching on the laity and lay ministry; the nature of spiritual gifts, call and vocation; and how to undertake the process of discernment.

Come learn about our common mission to the world as Church, your role in that mission, and your spiritual gifts, “given for the common good”.  To learn more and to register.…..
