I’m originally from Washington, IA and my husband Bill and I met, married and lived in Coralville before his work transferred us to the Des Moines area. We chose Ankeny because everyone was so friendly when we visited; the same for joining this parish. We ‘shopped’ around but we always came back to OLIH.
Bill and I weren’t able to have any children but being Santa & Mrs Claus for the last 17 years has been a heart warming experience. And, of course, we now have our puppy Teddy to dote on! We also love to camp, ride the motorcycle, walk, read and be with friends and family.
When we moved here in 2002, I worked in healthcare, mainly hospice—taking care of the office details needed for those arrangements. I hope to bring the same sense of ministry to my work here at OLIH.
